Myrtil the Turtle
Today in Room 6 we spent some time exploring Mrs Ramsay's car Myrtil the Turtle (a 1962 Volkswagon Beetle). We then wrote some fabulous stories about Myrtil. How many children do you think we could fit into Myrtil?
Author Logan wrote - Myrtil the turtle is 51 years old and it was smelly. 24 children fitted in Myrtil the turtle and the colour is green on it. It's slow like a turtle. It was fun and a little bit scary. The groceries go at the front. The engine was at the back of the car. I thought it was a real turtle and there is no seat belt in the back. The car was hot!

Learning Buddies & Dakta creations
Here we are working with our learning buddies to build and create with Dakta. We had to think and talk about our ideas, share, take turns and compromise to build our amazing aliens, monsters, machines and space cars.
Marvellous learning buddies
This week we have been learning to be marvellous learning buddies. As a class we decided that marvellous means really really good. To be marvellous learning buddies we will
- share
- take turns
- use nice words
- be kind
- and work together
We created learning buddy animals using draw art on the IPADS. Look at how amazing our creations are.
